Don't know! Perhaps you could try asking my ex-wife and 18 year old daughter!

Ok so your saying if someone plays 6hrs a day... they have no life? Are you forgetting that 1 Day = 24hrs? So if my 2nd grade math is correct, that leaves 18hrs to find something to do.
God I hate pointless threads like this.... we should spam it with cat pictures again to get it closed! |

Put simply.
Your average American watches 4-5 hours of television a night. If I play GW 2-3 hours a day, I think I'm up on a lot of people. :P $.02 |

I have a life. Sometimes I play 5+ a day but maybe only 2 days a week. Thats summer of course. During the school year its maybe 4 hours a week because of school and work. In the summer I have a girlfriend to attend to, work, and friends to chill with. Social life comes first. If your about to do a big DoA run and your friend calls you to go to the movies...I mean...whoever pics GW over that...

I don't need to 'get a life'. I'm a gamer. I have lots of lives.

I like the 4-5 hours of television comment, sure i could be watching tv instead but why? Its not interactive and the people don't talk back to you. You don't have to work with them together to accomplish a common goal. You just sit there and 'be entertained.' If thats what anyone can call television these days... entertainment. Anyway point is you don't have to exercise your brain to watch tv, and f*** that.
I like to think. F*** TV. Anyway the real point is its just a matter of what you do with your 'extra' time. If you still have a social life but your not all 'i gotta drink/club/party/hang/smoke/blog/hang with gf/do the family thing' EVERY night, theres plenty of time for 6 hours of gw even with a full time job, some nights. Also not everyone sleeps 8 hours a night. Ive adapted to 4-5 quite readily, and it has nothing to do with GW =p OP is speaking from their personal view, and isnt realizing that others may have ALOT more or ALOT less free time, with which they can do whatever the hell they like. If it comes out to more then 6 hours so what. Also, if you cant even do 6 hours in an entire week then your life is too busy to make full use of the game anyway, and i feel sorry for you for that. Yet your involved enough to register here and talk s*** to others... |

Get a life?
I'm "alive" if that is what you mean. I get up at 7:45am, get to work by 9am... work until 5:30pm... get home at 6:30pm .... I play games until Midnight... and then I go to bed. That is my average day. On weekends and days off I can play upwards of 12 hours in a row without a problem. Some years ago, when I first got Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic... I sat down and played it from start to finish... and it took 32 hours. My current record is 3 days straight back in the Megadrive days though. I'm an 0ld-sk00l gamer. It is totally natural. And for the record: #1. I have a girlfriend. She generally players on the computer when I'm on the consoles... and vice versa. She is also a gamer. #2. I don't have any other friends, because I don't believe in them. I have many "associates" but don't have much to do with those any more... and nor do I want to. #3. Sports are for the brain-dead. #4. I'm Aspergian. Social nonsense is for neurotypicals; not me. Julien... I pity you for having such a shallow, non-gaming existence. Put your friends down, forget the sports, get inside and get a 1-up. And for the added twist of irony, he's pre-ordered GW:EN and was on the forums for 3 hours straight last night alone. Yeah. Enjoy playing that as little as you'd like to believe you spend on the internet.

Of course I have a life. Wake up, go to work, go play guild wars for a few hours to maintain my social life then spend the rest of the evening with a beer. Weekends are slightly different - Wake up, go round friends, irritate friends, come home etc... So yes, I have a life tyvm, even if it is a little vacant.
In fact, I have the code for infinite lives, so GG sir. |

I'm a full time college student who also works 22 hours a week. I have a girlfriend and a fun group of friends whom I talk to and hang out with on a regular basis and I still play GW for 13 hours + a week.
